What is HAVOC?
HAVOC began with a small core of experienced, knowledgeable, loyal players from a previous server. All of whom chose to start anew, bringing with them their friendship, knowledge & beliefs about how to build a strong alliance.
First and foremost, HAVOC is a Family - we look out for each other, defend each other & attack for each other as required. No matter what the style of your play is, you can contribute to your alliance mates.
HAVOC does not have - & never will have - a minimum prestige requirement. Yes, that sounds crazy...don't we want to be #1 in pres? Of course we do - but we do not expect that each & every one of our members eats, sleeps & breathes this game. Just as not every family member can contribute in the same way, even a lower prestige player can contribute knowledge, resources or even entertainment. Apart from that fact, we want to add members that will be loyal to HAVOC - not to a ranking number. By working together & helping each other grow, we will be stronger than any rank can indicate. (Just ask one of our Founding Members what a lower-ranked alliance can do to a higher-ranked one someday

Our vision is simple. We intend to control & secure our home state, then grow & expand to neighbouring states. We will do this in a straightforward manner - if there is a player in Upper Lorraine that does not have the HVC Flag, they are either a recruit or a target. Major diplomacy efforts are in the hands of the host, vice-hosts & designated others, but all members are encouraged to make the effort to bring their neighbours into the HAVOC Family.
Evony is a strategy game, which requires battles & attacks. At some point, you WILL be attacked. DO NOT PANIC. This is where your alliance is the best asset you have (unless you have 100k archers hidden somewhere). Your alliance mates will do whatever they can to help you, just as you should be willing to do for them in return. Notify an officer or higher rank if you have a persistant issue, or are approached by another alliance.
Just as it happens in a real family, there may be issues - & just like a real family, HAVOC has authority figures. Insubordination to the host, vice-hosts, presbyters or officers may result in disciplinary action, up to & including expulsion from the alliance. Decisions, stategies & actions will be made by the leadership of HAVOC that cannot always be communicated to every member of the alliance - something that is just not possible. These things will happen because of influences & events that may be outside the knowledge of members. The leadership of HAVOC must consider what is best for the alliance as a whole in order for us to succeed.
As wonderful as it would be for every HAVOC member to like each other, friction can happen. Disagreements are understandable, & even acceptable - IF they remain within the bounds of courtesy. In short, respect your fellow members. Mocking a fellow member for a lack of gameplay knowledge is not acceptable - have some patience & remember when you were starting. Many players in this game have been playing since it was launched & are still learning new things. Don't assume what you know is the extent of what can be known.
As intense as it gets sometimes, this IS a game. As such, all members should be aware that we never know the ages, genders, beliefs, etc of the members that may be online at any given time. In other words.....there are kids playing this game. Again, respect should be shown to your fellow members, & explicit/inappropriate chat avoided. Please note, do not dismiss or ignore a player because of their age. Some of them may have been playing longer than you, with more experienced & knowledgeable players. It could be to your benefit to listen to them.
Just like a large Family dinner, discussion of politics & religion should be avoided in alliance chat. (As any1 who has had a turkey leg thrown at them during a holiday dinner will know.) Members are welcome to have such conversations via whisper, or on the Forum Chatbox as long as such discussions are kept respectful. Abusing a fellow member for ANY reason is not acceptable, but particularly for their beliefs. If such abuse is reported to the host or vice-hosts, expulsion of the offending member will occur.
Success in Evony as an alliance lies in strong loyalty, teamwork & confidence in your alliance mates. If we strive to excel in those areas, our prestige ranking won't matter....other alliances will fall to the call of "Cry HAVOC & let slip the dogs of war."
